A heat pump works in the same way as a refrigerator. It even uses the same components. The heat pump withdraws the warmth from the groundwater and increases the temperature by adding a minimal amount of electricity.
The enhanced temperature is suitable, among other things, for floor heating, radiators, preparation of warm tap water, swimming pools en industrial applications.

The advantages of a heat pump:

	spares the environment due to durable use of energy
	can be used for both heating and cooling
	is cheaper than traditional heating or cooling
	makes use of gas or oil unnecessary
